We believe by using our universal language of dance and movement, we can dissipate social, cultural and economic barriers. By bringing igniting these experiences we can impact and connect people in schools, workplaces, and refugee settlements. Sharing dance gives a firsthand look into each others' experiences.
Our beautiful differences are meant for us to share and learn.
We believe that everyone, in their own way, can enjoy dance. We are aiming to make that possible through educating and uplifting those around us with the power of movement.Dancing is very beneficial to your health. It lowers the chances for heart and blood vessel diseases, improves posture and weight, reduces stress and tension, improve brain function because of constant presence of music, and can improve relationship between dance partners.
Movements 4 Movements
We had the opportunity to travel with American Refugee Committee (ARC) to Nakivale Settlement in Uganda to teach a dance workshop to refugee youth.
Whether you are someone who enjoys an audience or someone who prefers to slightly sway in a room by yourself, most of us have joyful memories of dance. And, the joy of dance is contagious.
Movements 4 Movements is a non-profit organization newly in the start-up stage. We aim to offer dance/movement therapy workshops to communities such as underfunded schools, boys' and girls' clubs, veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress, Native American reservations, treatment centers, refugee camps, and many more. As we continue to grow our vision and mission, we hope to be able to provide scholarships and tuition assistance to those interested in furthering their career and experience in the field of dance, movement, and the arts. To date, we have partnered with and provided movement opportunities to Camp Mak-A-Dream MT for those batttling cancer and to the families of those battling and/or lost a family member to cancer, in local schools, Youth Homes, and Soft Landing Missoula.
